As part of Banned Books Week, Uncensored Voices will explore graphic novels and comic books and why they are banned in communities across the country. The event will shine a light on this still misunderstood form of storytelling and will celebrate the value of graphic novels for all readers.

Know Your Rights / Conozca Sus Derechos

Join us for an informative meeting about the rights of undocumented immigrants, including ICE detainers and information about Driver Authorization Cards. A representative from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles will be present to answer any questions. We will also have a review of the questions on the written driving exam to help those who have not yet obtained one.

Community Early Voting Rally

In April, we almost lost the ability to vote on Sundays in the primary election. Your voices ensured that Washoe County kept the polls open on Sundays, providing every voter an opportunity to participate in our democracy. Let’s celebrate the importance of primary elections and continued access to the ballot!

We’ll meet at 1 p.m. at Northgate park. At 2 p.m. we’ll travel to the nearby Scolari’s to early vote.
