Bio
Leila Saebfar is the development coordinator for the ACLU of Nevada. She graduated cum laude from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA in Political Science & Criminal Justice. At the university, Leila served as president and founder of ACLUNV's student chapter, UNR People Power, where she worked to educate her peers on pressing issues in Nevada and across the country and to promote civic engagement on campus.
As a first-generation college graduate and American, Leila is passionate about the advancement of civil rights and liberties and constantly works to pursue equity within her community. Outside of work, Leila is a refugee resettlement volunteer with the Northern Nevada International Center and a policy fellow with the Los Angeles Department of Civil and Human Rights. In her free time, she enjoys baking for her family and rock climbing.
