Las Vegas, NV – The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) honored the ACLU of Nevada with The Frederick Douglass Lecture Series: Lifetime Achievement Award on December 1, 2016 for continual work in the fight for civil rights.
“We are honored to have received the “Frederick Douglass Lecture Series: Lifetime Achievement Award,” for the civil rights, advocacy, and legal work we do on behalf of Nevadans. This award is a reminder of the commitment to education, advocacy, and defense of freedom exemplified by Frederick Douglas. The Frederick Douglass Lecture Series carries on the tradition of Mr. Douglas and we appreciate this recognition of our work,” said Tod Story, executive director.
