The ACLU of Nevada scored another federal court victory this week, as U.S. District Court Judge Philip Pro ruled that new rules passed by the 2007 Legislature governing the initiative process are unconstitutional.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Nevada and other non-partisan Election Protection coalition partners seek volunteers for Election Protection – the nation’s largest non-partisan voter protection program – on ELECTION DAY, NOVEMBER 4. Election Protection is a national coalition that works throughout the year to break down barriers to the ballot box for traditionally disenfranchised voters.  Election Protection is a non-partisan effort and is not affiliated in any way with any candidate or political party. Individual volunteers, however, do not have to be non-partisan or registered independent to participate in this non-partisan effort.
